Eternal Catrina Monoprint
Eternal Catrina Monoprint
This was made by the printmaking technique called monotype printing. I used a Gelli-plate to make this image which is actually a bit of a mixed media artwork. This is the original “one” print which is what “mono” in monotype stands for. The other mediums are woodcut print- the figure and acrylic paint - the flowers and face paint. The flames are a type of photo transfer that is possible with Gelli plates and a laser jet printer. Scratch marks are made by me. I wanted to mimic street graffiti with this one.
Size is 9x12.5 inches
