Last Flowers/Butterfly Face
Last Flowers/Butterfly Face
Last Flowers or Butterfly Face was my second attempt at copper plate etching and printing. For those not familiar with etching it is the process or scratching a design into a copperplate - submerging it in acid to enhance the scratch marks - then rolling ink onto the plate and wiping it away which pushes the ink into the scratches to create what will appear on the paper.
He’s a weird little guy holding his dead flowers and looking a bit sad and stunned. He’s small only 4×6inches and is mounted on a 8×10inch black mat. Only 6 made and he has yet to find a buyer. Please consider taking him home- he won’t take up too much space.
